My process is determined on the student's starting level of ability as well as his or her desired goals. Each student learns differently; some by ear, some by wrote. Some students want to learn to play just enough to play for parties. Others want to better understand the theory and begin writing their own songs. There are even those who want to add another hobby to their life and have always thought "playing piano would be fun." |
. |
My goal is not to teach you what I know, but rather to teach you what you want to learn. However, if you are hoping to be a classical concert pianist, I am not the teacher for you. My strengths are in the genres of musical theatre, pop/rock and jazz standards. From sight reading to understanding chord structures, I will cater to what is most useful, most effective and most fun for you. |
. |
My methods produce results that enable you to perform solo or as an accompanist. I have worked extensively as both. Lessons are held in my home in North Hollywood. For certain cases, arrangements can be made to take lessons from your own home. I look forward to making music with you! |

I am a vocal coach, not a voice teacher. My sessions are geared towards building your repertoire, expanding on the effectiveness of your voice and general tweaks in technique and performance. If you are just starting out, I recommend finding a fantastic voice teacher with whom you can nurture the relationship with your voice. When you are in tune with your voice and wish to expand and perfect it, that is when I can help you. |
. |
If you are currently auditioning, we will ensure you have a smart and widespread selection of songs for your portfolio. We will make specific stylistic choices on each of your songs and ensure every one is in your right key. We will continue to help you grow by introducing new song selections and cater them to your ever-growing voice and persona. |
.
|
If you are just starting out, or want to begin auditioning, we will find you a small set of solid songs and work them to your best. I will help you discover your vocal strengths - and weaknesses - so as to help implement them - or the correction thereof - in your singing style. |
. |
If you are an opera or classical performer, I am not the coach for you. My strengths are in the genres of musical theatre, pop/rock and jazz standards. I will work as the enabler of fun and freedom in your voice. Singing is meant to be joyful. Knowing how to best utilize your instrument is the best and most direct way to reach the potential joy. That is my primary objective with all my clients. |
